Local Speakers is part of the SpeakersPR.org network. This program was created out of the lack of web exposure that joining traditional speakers bureaus and speaking associations provides. In this day and age, when budgets are tighter and time more pressing you need as much exposure and credibility as possible. That means you need to show up on the first page of major search engines under the right keywords when someone is trying to find a professional like you. So PR has taken on a new direction. Instead of it meaning public relations, it means Page Rank in major search engines
For example, if you wanted to find a local speaker for an event you were planning, how would you go about searching for one? Would you search for a speakers association, a state's speakers bureau, or would you type in "Local Speakers". We assume that you are probably already affiliated with a speakers association and maybe even a speakers bureau, but would you show up under the search term "Local Speaker with either of those programs?" Becomming an Local Speaker is simple. Just fill-out the application below. Your information will be reviewed and you will be contacted within two business days of submission. At the time we will finalize your profile and template and add photos and other media.

One of the unique features of the program is the fact that we create a subdomain for you. That means you'll have a unique web page instead of just being lumped in with all our other pages and speakers. This is another way to increase your web exposure. This also means you use File Transfer Protocol (FTP access) to make changes at any time. This does require that you understand some basic web code, but it gives you the freedom to make changes as you like... and once we show you how do to it, you'll be amazed at how easy it is. In addition to this we will also make changes for you up to four times per year. After that there is a $10 fee for changes that you ask us to do.
